Our Spaces
The Village Hall has been fully refurbished and extended in 2020 and now offers a superb local venue for all types of uses, including formal functions, social engagements, business meetings and commercial hire.
Although housed in the original 1905 building, the facility has been brought spectacularly up-to-date with free wi-fi and internet connection, state of the art Audio Visual equipment, new comfortable furnishings and of course, the typical friendly welcome for which the village is famed.
The spacious accommodation is light, modern and airy. The oak floor is robust enough for any activity, from playgroups through to ballroom dancing, and for those summer days, why not spread out onto the adjacent terrace.

The Hall
The main hall is 10.5m x 8.5m giving 89 sq M of light filled space complete with access to the terrace.
We have capacity for
- 120 people standing
- 90 people seated as an audience
- And we can seat 76 people at tables
Heissen radiant heaters provide a controllable environment with quick response times for the colder months
Fully equipped with Audio Visual equipment including an automatic projector screen, and we have blackout blinds as well. The rooflight blinds are electrically controlled.
We paid a lot of attention to the acoustics in the hall, so it is an ideal space for performance, film shows and the like
Free Wi-Fi and LAN connections including floor sockets make the space ideal for business meetings
And of course, the servery counter connects the kitchen with the hall for serving those delicious cakes and sandwiches. As you would expect, we have a good supply of tables and new comfortable chairs for your event
The Kitchen
The kitchen has been completely refitted and contains all the appliances you might expect, including a small fridge/freezer, a Burco water boiler for making teas and coffees, and a catering size warming cupboard for keeping food and plates warm
We have a full compliment of crockery, cutlery and glasses to service your event.
The wide servery counter connects to the main hall and there is a door direct to the terrace for goods in and goods out!
There is a shutter to separate the kitchen from the main event space during food preparation.
The Facilities
The hall is surrounded by grassed spaces and a terrace, complete with picnic tables for enjoying those warmer days, and is connected to the hall by two pairs of double doors, which can be hooked back to share the spaces.
External lights allow the space to be used in the evenings as well. We have a small marquee and space for further marquees if required.
There is ample street parking outside the hall and nearby There is a vehicular access for deliveries and the like.
The hall benefits from a good internet connection and free wi-fi so you can upload pictures of your event in real time!
Access
As you would expect following the refurbishment, we have extensive level access and fully DDA compliant facilities.
The hall also benefits from an induction loop
